Mrs. Maria Vassiliou holds a B.Sc. in Statistics and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB). She then continued her studies and she obtained a Master degree in Human Resources Management and Employment Law. She is also qualified from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPD).

She is additionally qualified as a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner in Cyprus.

Mrs. Vassiliou has a multinational experience as she has worked in Cyprus, Greece and the United Kingdom holding various managerial positions.  

She started her career in Human Resources and Employee Relation Management before moving into the Banking Sector where she worked for Laiki Bank UK and Laiki Bank Cyprus for 14 years. During her career in the Banking Industry, she worked as HR and Employee Relations Manager, Head of the Custody and Trust Department, Legal Advisor in Recoveries and Debt Collection Department and Legal Advisor in the Legal Department of the Bank.  She has also worked as a Legal Consultant in a large Law Firm in Cyprus.

On 2015, she was appointed by the Central Bank of Cyprus as the Internal Legal Advisor of the Special Administrator of Laiki Bank (Cyprus Popular Bank Public Ltd) under Resolution.

She is also a member of the Loan Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus (Public Loans).

During her career she delivered many seminars in relation with her specialization and expertise.

Furthermore, Mrs. Vassiliou has a column in a newspaper and a business magazine. She is also a regular guest on various Television stations where she is invited to talk in relation with Legal and Banking issues.

Based on her work experience and knowledge, Mrs. Maria Vassiliou has created a “boutique” Company, the Consulting Zone Ltd, providing specialized Consulting Services and Seminars to meet the needs of the Company's customers.
